Quick Khansama Sooji ka Halwa is a traditional Indian slow
cooked sweet semolina pudding which is
prepared with just 6 basic ingredients.
Ingredients for khansama sooji ka
halwa
- · ½ cup sooji
- · ½ cup sugar
- · 6-8 tablespoon ghee
- · ½ cup milk
- · 2 ½ cup water
- · ¼ teaspoon cardamom powder
- · 1 tablespoon almonds ( for garnishing)
Method of making sooji
ka halwa
- 1. Heat the ghee in a broad non-stick pan, add the semolina and saute on a slow flame for 6 to 8 minutes ,while stirring occasionally.
- 2. Add the milk, 2½ cups of hot water, mix well and cook for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring continuously.
- 3. Add the sugar and mix well. Cover and cook on a slow flame for 5 to 7 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
- 5. Serve khansama sooji ka halwa immediately garnished with chopped almonds.
